Here's some brief documentation since I've heard this isn't all
obvious:
Previous song
Play/Pause/Stop
Next song
Shrink the interface to a mini-xtunes. Once it is shrunk, use
this same button to make it big again.
If this was a more recent screenshot (sorry, too lazy), there
would be a little arrow button here. Press it to make this window a
graphic equalizer visualization, and press it again to revert to this
state.
This is the message window.
Progress bar. While playing a song, click in here to skip around
the song.
Type in here to search for stuff in the selected source. Right
now, this is case-sensitive, but one of these days it won't be.
This button changes based on what source is selected. If the
Library is selected, it will be an Import button to bring files from
the filesystem into the xtunes library. If an audio cd is selected,
it will be a rip button to rip the cd to mp3s/oggs/whatever. If a
playlist is selected, it will be a burn button to rip the checked
songs to a cd.
Click on these column headings to change the sorting of this
table.
This doesn't do anything. It was going to be resize for when you
run xtunes without window decorations, but now i'm going to wait for
gtk 2.0 to be released since it has something like this built-in.
Eject the cd.
Visualization, but it doesn't do anything yet.
Brings up the configuration dialog.
These are checkboxes. Check them if you want the song to play.
If you are burning a cd, only the checked songs will be burnt.
This tells you how many songs are currently checked, how much
playing time they take, and how much disk space they are taking up.
Drag this thing around to change the amount of space the source
list and song list take up.
Loop toggle. If depressed, once the current list of songs is
done, it will start at the first song again. You can toggle this in
the middle of playing a list.
Random toggle. If depressed, the current song list will be
played in a random order. This will only work if you toggle it in the
"stopped" state.
Create a new playlist. The new playlist will be called "New
Playlist".
If you double click on a playlist, the name will show up here.
You can edit it and when you press enter, the playlist name will
change. (Once gtk 2.0 comes out, this will go away, as it now
supports editing cell contents in place.)
This is the list of available "sources". Sources can be the
library, audio cds, or playlists.
Volume control. To the right is louder, to the left is quieter.
